Mrs. Jessie Inez Speer, age 90, of East Bend, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at home. She was born on March 8, 1922 in Yadkin County to the late Thomas and Effie Carter Hobson.

Mrs. Speer was a homemaker and attended Mt. Carmel Friends Meeting .

Mrs. Speer is survived by one son,Thomas Leroy Speer; Three daughters Myrtle Puckett, Carolyn Hinshaw, and Bettie (Tommy) Hunter. nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Speer was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Speer.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday , August 5, 2012 at 2:00pm. at Mt. Carmel Friends Meeting with Pastor Jeff Farmer officiating. Interment was followed in the church cemetery.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers who provided such loving, compassionate care.
