-Detectives continue to work on the early February burglary of Yadkinville Chiropractic Center. Several items specific to chiropractics were taken and detectives are seeking out possible illicit sales throughout the region.
-Mohamed Atallah Nasrallah, 51, of Ashley Court, Yadkinville was arrested Feb. 8 and charged with obtaining property by false pretense. This was a class C felony violation which exceeded $100,000 in defrauded value. Nasrallah’s bond was set at $100,000 unsecured.
-Jerry Lyndon Blakely, 26, of Shady Grove Church Road, East Bend was arrested Feb. 13 and charged with obtaining proper by false pretense and possession of stolen property regarding property pawned at a local pawn shop. He was released on a $1,500 secured bond.
-Jennifer Lauren Poplin, 30, of Rising Sun Drive, Yadkinville was charged with driving while impaired after leading officers on a chase for several miles. Poplin was subsequently arrested near North Oak Ridge Church Road and faces numerous charges including hit and run, drug paraphernalia, felonious speeding to elude officers and failure to stop for lights and sirens. She was placed under a $25,000 secured bond.
-Donna Ann Harris, 29, of Cherry Street, Jonesville was charged Feb. 24 with larceny of a motor vehicle, a felonious charge of fleeing to elude officers and additional traffic charges after leading an officer on a short chase through town. Harris was placed under a $3,000 secured bond.
