Saturday, October 27


•3 p.m.-6 p.m.-Project Pumpkin at Deep Creek Church, 2401 Old Stage Road, Yadkinville. There will be trunk or treat, games, hay ride, food, blow ups, bonfire. Come out for some fall fun. PS bring a can of soup for Yadkin Christian Ministry.


•4 p.m.- Fall Festival for Jesus. There will be games, food will be provided and trunk or treat for children. Believers Baptist Church off Highway 601 in Yadkinville, across from the Yadkinville Volunteer Fire Department. •5 p.m.-7 p.m.-Trunk or Treat! At Yadkinville United Methodist Church Fellowship, games, prizes and candy!!!


Sunday, October 28


•10:30 a.m.-Homecoming at Harmony Grove Friends Meeting in Yadkinville. A special program of music, guest speaker is Chris Hauser. Morning service will be followed by a carry-in meal. The celebration continues at 6:30 on Sunday Evening with the Mickles Family singing, followed by guest speaker Harold Salmons. Everyone is invited


•5 p.m.-8 p.m.-Fall Festival and Port-a-Pit Chicken Dinner at Union Grove Church (sponsored by Children’s Ministry). Free and fun for all ages, hayride, trunk or treat, candy, prizes, inflatable’s, games and more. The Chicken dinner is a fund raiser for Lesley Benton and family’s expenses due to Lesley’s illness, $7 per plate, take out or eat in (chicken, baked beans, slaw, roll, dessert). •7 p.m.-Revival Services at Huntsville Baptist Church , Oct. 28-30, Sunday night - Tuesday night. Guest speaker will be Rev. Brian Chilton.

•10a.m.-2p.m.-Baltimore United Methodist Church will hold a Free Health Fair. The event will offer free screenings and free informational tips for young and old. For additional information (www.baltimoreumc.net) or call the church office at 336-961-6055.


•11 a.m.-3 p.m.-Cruise- In sponsored by Asbury UMC, supported by Yadkin Valley Crusiers “Pinto beans, Cornbread, desserts, drinks” All proceed will go to support needy families for Christmas

•11 a.m.-Revival at Flat Rock Baptist Church with Michael Cogdill Sunday 11 a.m.- and Monday- Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m.


•10:30 a.m.-Homecoming and Revival at South Oak Ridge Baptist Church of Yadkinville, with evangelist Frank Shelton of Waldorf, MD. The revival services each evening Sunday-Wednesday at 7 p.m. Special music at each service and a nursery provided. The public is cordially invited. For more information call 463-2629.


Monday, November 5


•6 p.m.-Yadkin County Farm Bureau’s Annual Meeting for the members of the organization. The meeting will be held at the Moose Lodge in Yadkinville. Cost will be $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 12 and under. A meal consisting of barbecue and all the fixings will precede the business session of the meeting. The Women’s Committee will be collecting non-perishable food items for Yadkin Christian Ministries. Please no take outs. Door prizes will be given away after the meeting


•Deep Creek Baptist Church, 2401 Old Stage Road, Yadkinville, Upward Basketball and Cheerleading, For boys and girls Kindergarten to 6th Grade. Registration is going on now until November 7. $60 for both Basketball and Cheerleading. Basketball shorts are OPTIONAL at a cost of $12. Cheerleading mock turtlenecks are OPTIONAL at a cost of $12.
