•1 p.m.-A reunion of the descendants of Williams and Alice Taylor McCollum will be held at Shacktown Church of Christ. All relatives and friends are invited. Bring a covered dish.


Sunday, September 23-26


•Mountain View Baptist Church of Hamptonville will be hosting Fall Revival Services Sunday, Sept. 23rd – Wednesday, Sept. 26th at 7pm nightly. We will enjoy hearing from a different speaker each evening and everyone is welcome. Mountain View is located at 1232 Mountain View Church Road in Hamptonville. Friday, September 28


•10:a.m.-Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 321 Redland Rd., Advance is having their annual Good Neighbor BBQ fundraiser. Take out lunch orders will include ½ Port-a-Pit chicken or pork barbecue, slaw, baked beans, roll and dessert. Lunch may be picked up between 10:30 – 2:00 pm at the church or on Hwy #801S beside Nature’s Way nursery in Advance. Supper will be served at the church from 5:00 – 7:00pm. Cost of the meal will be $9.00 which will support people in our community who are experiencing difficult times. Please come out and support our community!


Saturday, September 29


•6:30 p.m.-Soul’d Out Quartet and The Boys will be at Charity Baptist Church in Boonville. For more information contact 336-367-7939. They will be receiving a love offering.


Sunday, September 30


•11 a.m.-Bread of Life Baptist Church, 4557 NC 801-N Mocksville, will have Home Coming and Old Fashioned Day at the worship service. Rev. Fred Carlton will be the guest speaker. Fellowship meal to follow. Everyone is welcome.


Saturday, October 6


•4 p.m.-Outdoor gospel singing. Food will be provided and bring your lawn chairs. Featured singers are Valor III and The Messengers Quartet at Believers Baptist Church on Highway 601 in Yadkinville across from the Yadkinville Volunteer Fire Department.


Sunday, October 7


•10:30 a.m.-Mountain View Baptist Church of Hamptonville will be celebrating Homecoming and our 105th anniversary in the Lord’s service. Our morning worship service will begin at 10:30am and will be followed with a Homecoming meal at noon. Please bring your favorite covered dishes and join us. Our 7:00pm worship service will include special music from current and past Mountain View members. Everyone is welcome! •12 p.m.-until, Old Fashion Sunday at West Yadkin Baptist Church. Get out your overalls or borrow your grandmas’ bonnet. Bring the whole family for a time of fun and fellowship. Covered dish- Bring your favorites. Home-made Pie Contest. Bring your old timey photos for our “Guess Who” table.


Got any antiques for our ‘Whats That?” corner? Sunflower seed spitting and Hoop Rolling contest. Sack race (weather permitting). Hores & Buggy Ridesd (weather permitting). Prizes will be given for the best dressed man, woman, & child. Hope to see you there!

•11 a.m.- Evangelist Dr. John Rasey will speak at Berean Baptist Church, 2238 Buck Shoals Road, Hamptonville. After the service on Sunday lunch will be served in the fellowship hall. Mon. and Tues. night services will began at 7 p.m.. Everyone is invited. Rev. David Pattisall ids the Pastor.


Sunday, October 7-10


•West Yadkin Baptist Church is holding revival services. Service times are: Sunday - 11am, 7pm; Monday-Wednesday - 7pm nightly. We are excited to have Christian Chapman, preacher and evangelist from Charlotte, NC as our guest speaker. •4 p.m.- Fall Festival for Jesus. There will be games, food will be provided and trunk or treat will be available for children. Believers Baptist Church off Highway 601 in Yadkinville, across from the Yadkinville Volunteer Fire Department.


Sunday, October 28


•5 p.m.-8 p.m.-Fall Festival and Port-a-Pit Chicken Dinner at Union Grove Church (sponsored by Children’s Ministry). The Festival is free and fun for all ages, they will have a hayride, trunk or treat, candy, prizes, inflatable’s, games and more. The Chicken dinner is a fund raiser for Lesley Benton and family’s expenses due to Lesley’s illness, $7 per plate, take out or eat in (chicken, baked beans, slaw, roll, dessert).
