Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smitherman of East Bend are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miranda Leigh Smitherman, to Jeremiah Dylan Hines, grandson of Mrs. Johnny Sue Gregory and the late Mr. Edward Gregory, Sr. of Yadkinville.
The couple met while attending Forbush High School.
The future bride recently received a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
Hines is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in financial management at the University of North Carolina Charlotte.While in pursuit of his degree, he is currently employed full time with the Peninsula Yacht Club of Cornelius.
The wedding will be September 15, 2012 and the couple will live in Cornelius.
