Filing for Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor starts Monday

Filing for Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor will start Monday, June 11 at 12 p.m. and end Friday, July 6 at 12 p.m. There will be one seat open for a four year term. The filing fee is $5.

The general election will be Tuesday, November 6.

One-stop voting for the second primary, on Tuesday, July 17, will start on Thursday, June 28, through Saturday, July 14. There will be no one-stop voting on Wednesday, July 4, because the date is a state and county holiday. Voting will take place week days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, July 14 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Board of Elections Office in the courthouse in Yadkinville in room 103 on the first floor.

There will be no in-person registration during the one-stop voting period for the second primary. The Democrats, Republicans and Unaffiliated that voted a Democrat or Republican ballot in the May 8 primary and an Unaffiliated Voter that did not vote at all in the primary will be eligible to vote in the second primary.

The Board Members will be meeting on June 5, 12, 19, 26, July 3, 10, 13, 16, 17, Election Day, 19, Hand to Eye Audit, and July 24, Canvass Day. The Absentee Meetings will be at 8:30 a.m. and Canvass Day will be at 10:30 a.m. with Canvass at 11 a.m.
