BOONVILLE — Scrimmages are beginning, signifying that it’s time for another great basketball season.

The Starmount and Elkin girls teams got their season started off Saturday with the annual Ramboree at Starmount High School, giving both coaches a look at their team on a competitive level.

In the coming weeks, The Tribune will have exclusive previews and interviews as the winter season is set to officially begin in December. Stay tuned for more.
