BOONVILLE — Logan Styers, a standout track and soccer athlete at Starmount High School, has signed his letter of intent to run track at Lees-McRae.

“Over the past four years at Starmount High School, I have been involved around campus, including running track and playing soccer,” said Styers. “Being able to work closely with a team and coaches has helped me tremendously because I have made new friends and had people to help me be a better person. I have also been involved in BETA Club and FFA, which have allowed me to be a part of several different groups of people. My coaches and friends have been a great support system for me and these years have been amazing and I would not trade it for anything.”

Styers will graduate from Starmount in the spring, and continue his track career in the fall.

“I am excited to be signing with Lees-McRae to run track. Running is something I have always liked to do and being able to go to college for track is a dream come true,” said Styers. “I would like to thank my parents for supporting me through this and I want to make them proud when I do great things in college. I will miss Yadkin County, but look forward to what my next four years hold.”
