JONESVILLE and DOBSON - North Carolina Highway Patrol and local emergency officials have responded to two major wrecks involving tractor-trailers on I-77 today. The first accident occured on southbound Interstate 77 at mile marker 81 just outside of Jonesville.According to Yadkin Emergency Services Director Keith Vestal, the accident involved two tractor-trailers, one of which was carrying a “load of mixed hazadous materials.” The leak was minor, Vestal said, and the owner of the tractor-trailer sent a clean-up crew from Charlotte to clean up the spill.Traffic was diverted to U.S. 21 while the wreck and HazMat clean-up was in progress.
