Bridge closes for construction in East Bend
The bridge located on Old Hwy 421 at the Yadkin River, near the Enon community, in East Bend will be under maintenance beginning April 30 at 7 a.m. to June 1 at 5 p.m. The North Carolina Department of Transportation will be setting up detours to help with traffic control.

Two teens charged with Four Sisters robbery
Yadkinville Police have charged two local teens in connection with a forcible burglary at the Four Sisters Convenience Store located at 513 East Main St., Yadkinville. Isaac Edward Mounce, 16, of Tyler Street, Yadkinville has been charged with possession of stolen property. More than $1,500 in damages and stolen property was reported.
