Yadkin County Commissioners received the Yadkin Aging Services Planning Committee yearly report from committee chairman Eddie Wooten during their meeting on June 3. Huff Funeral Home organizes annual food drive

The NWRL system is holding a Traveling Quilt Raffle Fundraiser now through June 1st. This beautiful handmade quilt was designed by Carol McDowell, an Elkin resident and member of the Elkin Library Board. Tickets can be purchased at any NWRL branch for $1 each or six for $5. Johnsie Hudspeth Memorial golf tournament tees off Thursday
The 16th Annual Johnsie Hudspeth Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Thursday, May 30. The event is held to support Habitat for Humanity and is hosted by the Yadkin Valley and Yadkinville Rotary Clubs. Golfers will meet at the Cedarbrook Country Club and eat a buffet lunch at 11:30 a.m. A shotgun start will follow at 1 p.m. The tournament fee is $75 per player and involves golf, a raffle ticket, gift bag, snacks, and the buffet lunch. ...
