Ashley Sloan Hodges graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and magnum cum laude from Emory University on May 14. She received a degree in chemistry with a minor in music. Her honors thesis detailed her work in the design, synthesis, and biological testing of potential gold anti-cancer drugs. She served as the membership vice president in the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, and on the membership selection committee for Phi Beta Kappa. She will be attending Wake Forest University School of Medicine in July. She is the daughter of Jack and Deena Hodges of Yadkinville, granddaughter of Ted and Cindy Nance of Clemmons, and Sloan Cain of Ceres, Va.
