At approximately 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, May 6, the body of an unidentified female was located in a wooded area in Eastern Yadkin County.
Sheriff William Oliver said that the body is that of a white female believed to be between the ages of 30 and 45. She is approximately 5 foot 6 inches to 5 foot 7 inches and has blondish hair.
Sheriff Oliver says that he has no reason to believe it’s the missing female Fort Bragg soldier at this point.
The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are investigating the incident.
