Yadkinville Police are working to locate the suspects in the armed robbery of Jones & Jones Jewelry that took place at 6 p.m. on April 25.
One male and two female Hispanics in their mid-twenties presented a handgun and forced employees to a backroom where their feet and hands were bound, according to a Yadkinville Police Department press release. Assorted jewelry was taken.
The suspects fled the scene in a late 90’s model Honda and were traveling south on Highway 601, the release said.
A vehicle investigators believe to the be the vehicle seen on surveillance video footage was recovered on April 26. The vehicle was found abandoned in the Food Lion parking lot missing a registration plate.
Assistant Chief of Police Patrick Long said that the vehicle has been processed for latent fingerprints and touch DNA. Long says that investigators are following leads developed from the recovery of the vehicle, but any additional details are not being released at this time.
