Billy M. Britt, the retired superintendent of the North Carolina Yearly Meeting (NCYM) of Friends, will sign copies of his newly published book, "Giants in the Land: North Carolina Yearly Meeting Leaders," at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Pilot View Friends Meeting, 3225 Pilot View Church Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055. The signing is open to the general public. The book tells the stories of 17 deceased Quakers who became leaders in, and left a lasting stamp on, the North Carolina Yearly Meeting during the 19th and 20th centuries.
