Citizens’ Sentiments

What type of businesses and stores do you think your community is in need of?

George Burns (East Bend) “We need a drug store and a grocery store. Right now we don’t have a drug store at all and the grocery store we have is insufficient.”

Bonnie Lasky (Boonville) “My vision for Boonville is for it to retain its small-town charm and be a walkable community. I think a sandwich/bakery/coffee shop offering free wifi would do well in downtown Boonville. The community would definitely benefit from an urgent-care clinic and could support a full-service pharmacy. With the Shore Access on the Yadkin River, I believe a recreational outfitter would do well here. Our proximity to the wineries also makes Boonville a perfect location for a winery tour operator or even a wine bar or store patrons could visit after the wineries close for the day. Boonville would also be a good location for a brewery.”
