YADKINVILLE — On March 12, Yadtel Telecom completed an extensive remodeling of its Yadkinville store located in the Yadkin Plaza shopping center.
Magnolia Construction, of Winston-Salem, completed the project which included a new laminate wood floor, new carpet and paint, and the addition of a live phone bar. Sleeker kiosks were added to replace the old customer service cubicles and the walls now feature two large murals and four TV screens that highlight the company’s video service.
“I love the new store,” Yadkinville Store Manager Barbara Gentry said after seeing the changes. “It’s such a fresh look. The difference from the old store is really night and day.”
The new look is so striking that one long-time customer recently walked through front door and immediately froze. “I thought I’d gone to the wrong place,” she said.
For regular customers, the phone bar is a welcomed addition. Previously the only phones available for customers to demo were Apple iPhones. The new phone bar features eight models of working phones from various manufacturers. The bar is continually updated so customers can try out the latest handsets before making a purchase.
“This [phone bar] was a much-needed addition to the store,” Gentry explained. “Customers love being able to try out a phone’s features before making the decision to buy.”
To see the changes and try out the new phone bar, customers can visit the store Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
