EAST BEND — Congresswoman Virginia Foxx visited Forbush Elementary School on Friday. She served as the mystery reader in Kayla Sizemore’s second-grade class and read “Finding Winnie: The True Story of the World’s Most Famous Bear” by Lindsay Mattick to the students.

She also met with April Norman’s fourth-grade class as well as with students on the award-winning For-BOTS robotics team.

Foxx said, “It’s always a pleasure to visit Yadkin County Schools and witness the great things happening in classrooms across the county. It’s clear the teachers and administrators at Forbush Elementary are providing an educational experience that equips students for success.”
