Two Yadkinville residents face drug charges

On Sept. 28, the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office, the Yadkinville Police Department and NC State Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant on Shandarosa Trail in Yadkinville.

Michael Todd Chandler Nixon, 24, of Mocksville, was arrested and charged with felony possession of precursor chemicals for methamphetamine, felony maintain a dwelling for controlled substances, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony manufacture of methamphetamine from Davie County.

Christin Nicole Davis, 26, of East Bend, was arrested and charged with felony possession of precursor chemicals for methamphetamine, felony maintain a dwelling for controlled substances, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and four counts of felony possession of precursor chemicals for methamphetamine from Davie County.

Officers arrived at the residence in an attempt to locate Davis on the outstanding warrants from Davie County. The officers secured the residence along with Davis and Nixon. A search warrant was obtained and served on the residence. Marijuana, precursors for Methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia were located in the residence. It was determined that Nixon also had an outstanding warrant for arrest from Davie County.

Davis is being held on a $75,000 secure bond. Nixon is being held on a $40,000 secure bond. Davis and Nixon have a court date on Oct. 12. The investigation is ongoing.
