Man charged in jewelry theft case

HAMPTONVILLE — On Dec. 22, 2015, Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office received a call to investigate a larceny that had occurred on Mountain View Church Road in Hamptonville. The victim had noticed some of her jewelry was missing. After an investigation and a check at a jewelry store in Wilkes County, the property was found.

Jason Dean Lickliter, 32, of Hamptonville, was arrested and charged with one felony count of breaking and entering and one felony count of larceny after breaking and entering. Lickliter was located in Knox County, Tennessee. He was given a secured $12,500 bond with a court date of Feb. 17.
