On Saturday, detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office and the Yadkinville Police Department arrested two individuals in a case involving trafficking a schedule II controlled substance.
Shandi Nicole Lester, 31, of East Bend, and George Michael Gianera 27, also of East Bend, were arrested following an investigation for the sale and distribution of prescription medication at Food Lion in Yadkinville.
Lester and Gianera were located at Food Lion during the investigation and detectives allege they were in possession of a trafficking amount of oxycodone. Lester and Gianera also were allegedly found in possession of diazepam, a schedule IV controlled substance.
Lester and Gianera were each charged with four felony counts of trafficking a schedule II controlled substance, one felony count of sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance, two felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture sell and deliver a schedule II and IV controlled substance, one felony count of conspiracy to sell and deliver controlled substances, and one felony count of maintaining a vehicle for the sale of controlled substances.
Lester and Gianera both received a $25,000 secured bond and were scheduled to be in court in Yadkin County on Dec. 16.
