On Oct. 9, a traffic stop was initiated by deputies of the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office on a suspicious vehicle. The alleged passenger had outstanding criminal papers. The driver, Dustin Gage Hunter, 23, of Yadkinville failed to stop the vehicle which led to a high speed pursuit from Hwy 421 and ended on Center Rd. Hunter then fled from the vehicle along with the passenger, Bobbie Lynn Campbell, 25, of Hamptonville. With the help of NC Highway Patrol, the suspects were apprehended after a brief pursuit.
Dustin Gage Hunter was arrested and charged with one count felony flee/elude arrest with a motor vehicle, one count each of fail to stop, reckless driving to endanger and drive left of center. He was given $15,000 secured bond with a court date on 10/21/15.
On Oct. 13, Hunter was arrested again and charged with one count of felony possess a stolen firearm, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, one felony count of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of conspiracy robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was given a secured bond of $30,000 with a court date of Oct. 14.
Bobby Lynn Campbell was charged with outstanding orders for arrest for one count of failure to appear in court and one count misdemeanor probation violation. She was given a $1,130 secured bond with a court date of Oct. 20.
Campbell was charged earlier this year with one count of felony larceny of a motor vehicle, two counts of felony obtaining property by false pretenses, and one count of misdemeanor larceny in a case involving a vehicle allegedly stolen from a home in Hamptonville.
