YADKINVILLE — Daniel Marmolejo, 23, of Hamptonville, was arrested on July 20 in connection with an alleged motor vehicle theft.
On July 19, deputies with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to an address in Hamptonville regarding a larceny of a motor vehicle. According to the sheriff’s office, Marmolejo and the vehicle owner had been in an argument and he subsequently left in the victim’s vehicle.
With information obtained from an unnamed source, the deputies were able to locate the vehicle on Templeton Road in Hamptonville with Marmolejo still in the vehicle.
Marmolejo was charged with one count felony larceny of motor vehicle, one count felony possess stolen motor vehicle, one citation for driving while license revoked and one count misdemeanor inhale toxic vapors. He was given a secured $7,500 bond with a court date of July 30.
