On Sept. 6, the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen vehicle which had allegedly been taken from the victim’s place of work in Yadkinville. Upon checking the surrounding area, a moped was discovered nearby.
The following day, the Yadkin Sheriff’s Office received a report of a residential alarm on Courtney Huntsville Road in Yadkinville. The home had been entered and two individuals were found nearby. Both were taken into custody and later arrested.
Following an investigation, it was determined that both crimes were related.
Arrested were Willis Anthony Green III, 35, of Yadkinville, and Dylan Paul Wright, 19, of Asheboro. Both were charged with one count of felony breaking and entering, one count of larceny after break/enter, one count of misdemeanor injury to real property. Wright also was charged with one count of felony possession of burglary tools. Green was additionally charged with one count of misdemeanor resisting public officer, one count of felony larceny of a motor vehicle, one count felony break or enter a motor vehicle and one misdemeanor larceny.
Green was given a secured $25,000 bond and Wright was given a secured $15,000 bond. Both have a court date of Sept. 14. The investigation is ongoing.
