This year’s nonprofit recipients include:

• Yadkin Children’s Center for a program focusing on life and socials skills for youth in foster care.

Recipients of the Hubert Lewis Phillips & Pearl Shermer Phillips Scholarship include:

• Paige Keaton;

• Abbey Layell.

Representatives from the Ed and Dorothy Carter Foundation, John and Donna Willingham Advised Fund, Meme Mckensie Brown “Fight Like A Girl” Fund and R.P. Buchanan Scholarship Endowment also were recognized during the reception.

Drum thanked the community for its support of the Yadkin County Community Foundation.

“These grants are important to our community and our quality of life,” she said. “Critical programs would not be possible without the generosity of many individuals and organizations that have supported Yadkin County’s community fund.”
