Yadkin Valley Home Health’s staff recently relocated to a newly refurbished office beside Hugh Chatham Urgent Care-Jonesville. On May 10, the staff received a fleet of new cars for travelling to their patient’s homes.
YVHH purchased the vehicles in order to provide a safe and reliable source of transportation for their employees. Additionally, the new cars will save resources on mileage and fuel. The therapists and nurses average 21,000 patient visits per year, traveling around 300,000 miles total. The vehicles will serve Surry, Wilkes, Yadkin and Alleghany counties with an estimated annual cost savings of more than $30,000 — another initiative to keep our highly qualified services affordable for our patients.
Yadkin Valley Home Health began providing home care to the patients of the region in 1976. Over the past 40-plus years, they have served over 21,000 per year. They offer the following services: Skilled Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Medical Social Work, and Home Health Aide. The agency employs 12 therapists, nine nurses and eight support staff and have been recognized for providing exceptional care by several survey groups.
