Ramalicious: a delectable memorial from the Class of 1970

BOONVILLE — Starmount High School’s Class of 1970 has created a truly delicious memorial to their class: their very own cookbook.

This idea came about when 10 ladies — Wanda Jordan, Judy Deck, LuAnn Hall, Tommie Jo Paul, Joyce Moore, Kathy Nixon, Christine Bryant, Glenda Chambers, Carol Clark, and Cathy Baldwin — formed a Cookbook Committee in 2011. Since they bonded over food and recipes while growing up, they decided that compiling recipes together was the best way to commemorate the memories, bonding, and cherished friendships they had while at Starmount.

Wanda Jordan added, “The class of 1970 hopes the classes at Starmount now will continue close friendships, love, and honor of their school as we have for 46 years.”

To purchase Ramalicious, contact any of the ladies mentioned. Cookbooks also can be found on sale at sporting events at Starmount High. The cost is $25.

This cookbook is full of delectable recipes that can be enjoyed for generations of Rams to come. This book also will make a fantastic Christmas present to any chef who is looking to cook up cozy dishes this winter.

And what recipe does Jordan recommend?

“My mom’s Portuguese Potato Casserole, of course!”
