Yadkin County 4-H winners at Dixie Classic Fair


Yadkin County 4-H’er Eli Thomas of East Bend came home with Reserve Champion Commercial Heifer in the Junior Beef Cattle Show at the Dixie Classic Fair. Thomas is the son of Leanne and Marc Thomas.

“Homegrown Fun” was the theme for the 4-H Youth Organization Booths at the Dixie Classic Fair this year. Judging criteria for this event included: Creativity, Communications to Viewers, Education, Design and Mechanics, and Youth Participation. The booths must be self-explanatory and illustrate the theme. The Panthers 4-H Club of Yadkin County took home second place in this area competition.
