Boonville Community Public Library news


Fall is coming and activities are arriving fast at the Boonville Community Public Library. Preschool Story Time continues on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. for ages 2 to 5 with songs, crafts and finger plays complementing the stories read. Bring a preschooler and enjoy the fun.

Authors Peggy Poe Stern and Judge Ander Pierce will be at the library on Oct. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to talk about their books and sign copies for interested patrons. Come by and meet them and enjoy their interesting series of books.

The third annual Cookie Tasting will be Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. Sign up at the library and come out with a favorite batch of cookies and have fun.

The Friends of the Boonville Community Library will be holding an all Natural Wreath Making on Nov. 28 at 10 a.m. The spaces are limited and they are only $20 each. Come by the library to sign up.

Free access to Ancestry.com continues on site at local libraries in the Northwestern Regional System through December. Come by to research family background and be amazed at what is discovered.

BCWSG (Boonville Crosswalk and Support Group) meetings continue at the library on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Come join this group to get ready for fun.

The Boonville Community Public Library is the host for the month of the NWRL ninth annual Photography Contest. Come by this month and view all the beautiful prints that NWRL patrons have entered. While here take a look at the library’s book sale during this month.

The Boonville Community Public Library is a member of the Northwestern Regional Library System made up of 13 libraries including Alleghany, Surry, Stokes and Yadkin County.
