Kids get lesson on animal safety


Officer Sharon Diaz of the Crime Prevention Unit, Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office, keeps the kids at the Summer Enrichment Program at full alert last Thursday with her presentation on animal safety. Her illustrated talk touched on total care of animals, house pets as well as those in the wild. The program, sponsored by 10 United Methodist Churches of the West Yadkin Missional Network, meets Tuesday and Thursday at Yadkinville UMC. The program ends Aug. 13.
