Adams couple celebrates 50 years


Jasper and Phyllis Adams of Yadkinville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 2. A surprise reception was given by their children, Kathy and Chris Sharpe and Melanie Adams; grandchildren, Justin Sharpe, future granddaughter-in-law, Cara Linens, Taylor Sharpe and Wesley Adams; and a close family friend, Lynn Metcalf, on June 26 at Union Cross Friends Meeting. Jasper retired after 30 years from Chesapeake Display and Packaging (now Sonoco Display and Packaging), and Phyllis is employed by Yadkin County as the tax assessor. They were married on July 2, 1966.
