Dr. Paul Kenneth Cudd, of Green Hill Road, Mocksville, died Friday, July 9, 2010 at his home in the loving care of his family.

He was self-taught in Spanish as well as German. He challenged himself to learn to fly and received his pilot's license. His fondness for speed spilled over from planes to sport cars. As an accomplished musician on the banjo, piano, guitar, mandalin, one of his greatest musical loves was playing the fiddle. He entertained family and friends since high school and at many bluegrass festivals.

Dr. Cudd worked in the Mocksville community for years with chiropractic services at Davie Chiropratic Clinic and later devoted much of his time to helping local residents. He also had a deep concern and compassion for the Hispanic community, establishing an affordable clinic at Vintage Village Flea Market. Caring for and meeting his patients needs was his primary objective.

He is the son of Erika Cudd of Charlotte and the late David Cudd.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Lisa Foster Cudd; two sons, Bryan Cudd of the home and Daniel Hurt and wife, Donna ofMocksville; two daughters, Alyssia Cudd-Winters and husband, Nick of Advance and Amanda Cudd-Williard and husband, Stephen of Winston-Salem; Emma MaeWinters, daughter of Alyssia and Nick Winters, is his only granddaughter with a second grandchild expected in February to son, Daniel and Donna Hurt; and one brother Tony Cudd of Charlotte.
