County analyst completed administration course

CHAPEL HILL — Anna Hamby, management analyst, Yadkin County Administration, has successfully graduated from the 2013-2014 County Administration Course of the School of Government, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.


The program in County Administraction is designed for managers, department heads and officials whose responsibilities require a broad understanding of functions beyond individual areas of specilization. The course is approximately 150 hours in length and more than 60 instructors participate in leading the program. Course instruction covers North Carolina local governement law, organization and management, finance and budgeting, employment law and adminstration, planning and regulation of development and the delivery of specific city or county services.


Hamby was one of 94 officials who graduated the Municpal and County Administration course this year and is one of more than 2,900 officials who have completed the course since it began in 1954.


Hamby also received the Local Government Federal Credit Union Competitive Scholarship which paid for the tuition in the amount of $2,600.
