Armed robbery at Yadkinville CVS

An armed robbery took place at the CVS Pharmacy in Yadkinville on Nov. 21 at 8:45 p.m.

Yadkinville Police are still seeking information that may lead to the identification of the man captured by security camera footage.

The suspect is a white male, weighing approximately 165 pounds and approximately six feet tall. He was wearing a black jacket with the hood pulled up and blue jeans. He used a medical mask to periodically cover his mouth and nose.

According to the security camera footage the man walked into the store and browsed merchandise for about 15 minutes and left the store. He re-entered the store 10 minutes later and approached the pharmacy. Pharmacy staff said the man stated he had a gun and to give him what he wanted or he would shoot them. He demanded controlled substances.

The suspect left the store without further incident and no customers or staff were injured. The man did not present the gun, according to Yadkinville Police Chief Tim Parks.

According to the police report, the suspect was last seen leaving CVS Pharmacy on foot. No other details are available at this time.
